Yes, the dusting appears to be part of the basidicarp — the are no conifers in the section of the woods where this mushroom was found. This doesn’t look like pollen or any other extraneous residue — the mushroom was tiny (no more than 1.75" tall) and the cap was not viscid or sticky.

is not something I’ve observed on a coprinoid before. Can you confirm that it’s part of the FB itself and not, say, a recent inundation of pine pollen?
