We’re accessioning the two specimens associated with this observation.

The spores are amyloid and globose to subglobose. This plus the photograph and some vertical splitting on the stipe’s basal bulb (visible in the dried material) leads me to suggest that this material is Amanita brunnescens. We will schedule sampling of this material for sequencing at Dr. Karen Hughes’ lab at U. Tenn., Knoxville.
