I would guesstimate this was 9-11cm tall, the top was 7-8cm wide.

is a maple species, Acer. I’m not too surprised at the multiple mycorrhizal fungi found in close proximity. Both Scleroderma and Pisolithus for mycorrhizae readily, although Acer is not their preferred host plant. Fortunately both species also are widely mycorrhizal with many tree and shrub species.
