Observation 109628: Suillus punctatipes (Peck) Singer

Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: Found ~ 7000ft under mixed conifers.
Caps up to 11 cm across appearing appressed fibrillose.
Stipe with dark glandular dots near apex.
Pores large and mostly angular and radiating from stipe
Taste mild, odor “Suillus-like”.
Spore print ochraeceous brown.
Spores ~ 7.0-9.0 X 3.7-4.1 microns, oblong, smooth.
Seems to fit Suillus punctatipes but it hasn’t been reported too often in this area.
