Observation 110803: Amanita fulva (Schaeff.) Fr.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: These were abundant all over the island, growing with pine in thin soil, through beds of moss and heather, and out of cracks in the bedrock. The volva on every one I saw had at least faint reddish-brown stains, and the pileus color was a range of shades of warm brown.
