I’ve seen this year. Hopefully, there will be a few more for me to examine. I think maybe this one is young enough that the purple tones are on hold. In the second photo, the base of the veil shows a little darkening.
I figure the big showy veil should make this one distinctive enough that I’d be able to spot it in the big NA bolete book. Only other one that seems close is S. salmonicolor, which has yellow context.
This seems to lack the purple colors on the bottom of the veil.
