Observation 111232: Amanita sect. Phalloideae (Fr.) Singer
When: 2012-09-25
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Last time I visited this collection site, I left 4 emerging emerging buttons of this mushroom. But, someone or something trampled them. So I didn’t get bthe collection of mature fruit bodies I had hoped for. Luckily, there was one nice fairly new one. That specimen is being preserved. I took the knocked apart material in order to disect and study macro-characters.

The caps found in this site are not as dark-colored as the ones (which I believe are the same spacies) I have collected at Moon Lake.

Scarlet Oak, Norway Spruce, and Red Pine growing on the border of the lawn near this fruiting.

Using this material as a basis for filling out a report.
