In a deciduous forest detritus primarily composed of Qurcus spp., Carya cordiformis, Sassafras, Cornus florida, Fagus spp., some Acer spp. and a few pines.
Stains red immediately upon damaging, then turning brown and eventually nearly black. The latter part of the reaction reminds me of some G. marginata.
Spores measured at 40X, 8.0 MP, 12.1 pixels/micron.
