I was able to go back and photograph the underside confirming it’s a bolete, most likely a Suillus brevipes.

If they were gilled

they are not a Suillus.
However, enlarging the first photo to the max indicates that they were pored and most likely a Suillus.

I didn’t get a picture of the underside but They grew tight to the ground and were gilled.
