According to the paper of Nimis and Tretiach, already cited by Jason in a comment to my previous observation 103759: “A Revision of Tornabea, a Genus of Fruticose Lichens New to North America”, the species Tornabea scutellifera (=Tornabenia atlantica) has a remarkably wide ecological amplitude, it can occur in a variety of substrata, from littoral shrubs to siliceous rocks. This time, in the same habitat of the above cited observation, I found it growing over rock.
