with white pine, spruce and fir. I did not notice the particular host. I don’t find this often locally and can’t speak to the cap tomentum. I will pay more attention in the future.

I find this most often on Norway Spruce and sometime White Pine but I wonder about substrate farther north? Also sometimes the surface tomentum is very plush and felty but other times it’s short and stiff. Do you notice that also?
