Observation 112367: Cortinarius variecolor group

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Caps purple with rusty areas. Gills whitish. Context white. Veil white, fibrous. These are young buttons. Hoping for some more mature ones in a day or two.

Under 2-needle pine… either Shortleaf or Scotch.

Second photo with stipe almost completely cut away to show gill attachment.
Third photo shows mushrooms 1 week after initial observation… same exact location.

Thin spore print from first collection brown.

Last photo taken 10/22 shows mushrooms from same fruiting which I left to mature on 10/4.
