Is it weird to find these so late? The bigger one seems pretty old, but the little one is in good condition…. found under hemlock.

No, it’s not late. Second half of September into the middle of October is when B. edulis frequently fruits under spruce and hemlock in our latitudes, though I collected it in August at higher altitudes where night-time temps are much cooler than at sea level… Congrats!
