Observation 112562: Chroogomphus ochraceus (Kauffman) O.K. Mill.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: On ground near mostly pine trees, white pine I think, but there were some deciduous trees and shrubs scattered around the area. Found in close proximity to some slippery jacks.

I like this, compared to your observation it is very similar, mine was definitely an older specimen however. Funny Chroogomphus was the first thing that came to mind out in the field!
