You should really go back and read the description of Boletus/Caloboletus inedulis. Recall that repetition is the mother of learning.

Prominent reticulation/ribbing covering the entire vivid red stipe is not part of this species description. B. inedulis always has a yellow apex, and is only occasionally faintly reticulated.
