It would be nice to see the black fungi in their own observation. You have the option to reuse the photo so you don’t even have to upload it again.

This is a nice find. And this species sure gets around; I’ve seen it quite a ways north in eastern Ontario.

Is that a crop of Xylaria polymorpha growing behind it?
