Specimen available

SUBSTRATE granitic outcrop in river cutbank; ASPECT shaded; NOTES dark brown rimose crust, medulla K-, apothecia small black mostly flush but some with raised pale border, epihymenium dark green to brown in K, paraphyses with 2-4 cells swollen very narrow; SPORES 8 per ascus, 25 × 15 µm, conidia 13-18 µm.

This keys out as “aff. tenuis” in the Sonoran Flora. It differs from the type specimen (from Crater Lake, Oregon) only in the thallus being areolate instead of rimose. Not sure where taxonomists stand on this issue now.
