Observation 11313: Tylopilus plumbeoviolaceus (Snell & E.A. Dick) Singer

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found at the base of an old oak stump surrounded by 5 or 6 young long leaf pines. Mild smell. White meat, no bruising effect on meat or tube mouths. Cap was almost coppery. Very top of stalk had a nice purple color.

Spore print cinnamon brown.

Boletus affinis. At least that’s the closest I can get with my guides.
