When: 2012-10-11

Collection location: Wharton State Forest, Burlington Co., New Jersey, USA [Click for map]

Who: I. G. Safonov (IGSafonov)

No specimen available

A triplet of large and robust fruitbodies with 1.25" thick stipes. These look different from the typical orange A. muscaria with large white warts I frequently see in the Pine Barrens. I left these untouched…

The next NJMA foray will take place on Oct. 21st at Jakes Branch County Park (the one at Wells Mills this Saturday was canceled due to a scheduling conflict with a festival). However, a select few members will foray at Franklin Parker preserve in Chatsworth this Sunday. Rod Tulloss will be there.

when’s the next Pine Barrens foray?
