When: 2012-10-06

No herbarium specimen

Notes: According to the British Flora the species Lecidea fuscoatra and L grisella are similar, differing by the thallus that starts continuous and becomes only seemingly areolate with age in the latter, whereas the former is areolate from the begining; This is responsible for the lighter thallus in L. grisella in comparison with L. fuscoatra; In the past L. grisella was named L. fuscoatra var. grisella.
