Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]
This pink Russula with violet tones in the cap center turned up in the area with the moss patches with obs. 11336 and friends, but not in any of the moss patches. It was close to the patch with obs. 11334, and not far from the polypores of obs. 11335.
Nearby trees various, including pine, birch, and maple, and probably spruce too, as well as possibly others.
I wish I’d seen this one when still 100% fresh.
