My first guess in the forest was P. Admirabilis. But when I checked my Japanese websites I couldn’t find it anywhere.
I’m beginning to suspect that Genus and Species are alot closer to North America than one would suspect.
The gills certainly look free to me from photo. Honestly don’t recall. Need to remember that sort of thing. And I agree, after the rain hit them the gills looked like they were headed to being very pink.
Might be one of those yellow Pluteus, can’t quite tell if those are free gills, and it does look like the gills become pinkish in age.
