North American field guides. Have you had a light frost yet? At least, sometimes, after a night with a low very close to freezing or just below freezing Amanita citrina f. lavendula will show lavender to deeper purple in spots on the cap, the volva, or the stem. We don’t know whether or not everything that looks like your material is all one species in North America or not.
