reminds me of mushrooms which comprise the genera formerly found under the name “Lepiota.”

why not one of the various lepiotaceus species?

Except for the delicacy of the stipe and partial veil, it reminds me of species in sect. Lepidella (largely because of the deeply radicating base). I think a dried specimen would be necessary for me to propose an ID.
