A mushroom of Panama that is readily placed within a genus! How can that be? (I think Eduardo must be leading the MO “Agaricales” tabulations by a landslide.)

I would be astonished if this turned out to be anything other than an Agaricus.

Pallid gills are common in our NE NA types. I agree about the cap surface not matching any agaricus I can recall. But this is a Panama agaricus :-)
