Observation 114416: Mycena clavicularis (Fr.) Gillet

When: 2012-10-22

Collection location: Florence, Lane Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]

Who: Christian (Christian Schwarz)

Specimen available

Noah Siegel pointed out that these were not Roridomyces, based on lack of a really thick gelatin layer on the stipe and non-umbilicate cap shape.

Which makes me wonder about observation 65176, which shows specimens that are visually a good match for Roridomyces, but apparently microscopically a poor match. I wonder if the microscopy was paired with the wrong photo?
