Foliose lichen; broad 1 or more inches across lobes, green with lighter colored marbling present; rhizimes present on underside to 1.5 cm long, mostly black; underside with conspicuous veination as well.


Dark green to yellow-green surface. Some orangish areas at edges present.
Rhizimes to 2cm long, mostly white near edge but becoming black further from edge (1 inch away).
Close-up of blackish rhizimes and yellowish veins. Notice scales on rhizimes.
At least one orange structure near edge of lichen.
