Recognized by sight: Zonate, they really pale out in age. You can still see the yellow cast on some parts of the fruitbodies in each photo. Both photos appear to be upside down?

Young and fresh

They looked young and fresh, not so old. Also, it seemed it like it might be parasitic to the tree because some of the tree was dead a little ways above the fruiting body.
