Notes: A gasteroid fungus found in the NJ Pinelands. Compare to recent Observation 114505. It was above ground with the “club” fully out of pine duff. Pitch pine, scrub oak and blueberry plants were in the vicinity. The interior of the specimen contained abundant smooth ellipsoid to elongate spores ranging from 5.5 to 8 microns in length. 20 spore average was 6.5 × 3.6 microns with a Qm = 1.83.
