This mushroom occurs after the first spring rains in the Plateau of Poços de Caldas, MG, Brazil, including the surrounding area of Andradas. The Plateau sits on an extinct volcano caldier, whose altitude ranges from 1230 to 1620 meters above sea level.

Observed in the Plateau of Poços de Caldas, south of Minas Gerais State.
