Recognized by sight: Hi Debbie. L. gilbertsonii usually grows on eucalyptus on the west coast. Laetiporus sulphureus is not known west of the great plains. see http://botit.botany.wisc.edu/toms_fungi/jul2001.html

…must’ve had a brain hiccup, and clicked on the wrong name in the laetiporus menu.
guess that I must’ve been time-traveling back to the daze when we called everything sulphureus…
