Observation 116463: Cortinarius athabascus Bojantchev
When: 2012-11-05
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: These were growing among Sitka spruce.
Caps up to 6.9 cm across.
Spores were ~ 8.0-8.9 X 5.1-6.1 microns, ellipsoid and moderately rough.
They dried to a dark brown(not blackish) color(stems lighter) and the roughness of the spores seems to eliminate C. brunneus.
