Rotting hemlock stalks under dense, dark spruce canopy.
a stick? What’s the habitat and substrate?
A very beautiful photograph of a very difficult to photograph fungi. I found this 3 times last year. The first time I collected it by a nature center looked for 5 minutes for more nearby and it dried out before I could get a pic. Then the next day, cameras in the car and Im 2 minutes away and find it on dead plant stems, go get the camera and its gone from the sun. Third time had the camera around my neck, find it and pull it out from the weeds set up and half dry out as I am taking the picture. Great job and very nice collection.
