Notes: HABITAT open forest; SUBSTRATE siliceous rock; ASPECT mostly shaded; NOTES on siliceous rock in hardwood forest; THALLUS greenish to pale whitish with orangish discolorations, K- to K+ black where pigment strongest, coarse lip-shaped soralia under curled-up lobe tips, long black scarcely-squarrose pointed straight rhizines occasionally appearing to be cilia, pale to brownish below without cortex.
