Notes: HABITAT open young cove hardwood forest; SUBSTRATE Malus trunk; ASPECT mostly open; NOTES on apple trunk, somewhat sheltered spot; THALLUS broad ruffled dull gray-green, K-, KC-, C-, covered with tiny papillate to cylindrical to branched isidia; MEDULLA white, K+ yellow soon blood-red, C-, KC fading a bit but staying blood-red in core.
