HABITAT open young cove hardwood forest; SUBSTRATE Malus twig; ASPECT mostly open; NOTES on apple twig, shaded spot on lower limb, behind cabin; THALLUS narrow (1-3mm) strap-like irregularly-branched lobes, shiny, gray-green, white pseudocyphellae along margins and a few punctate ones too, pale buff to whitish below with brownish short simple rhizines, no cilia, rather ruffled and loose, granular soredia to almost corticate sorsidia in marginal soralia abundant, K+ yellow, C-, KC-; MEDULLA white, K-, C+ strong red, KC+ strong red.
