HABITAT open ridge-top with laurel scrub, oak-spruce-fir forest; SUBSTRATE hardwood bark; ASPECT mostly open; NOTES on hardwood bark; THALLUS pale greenish grayish, K-, densely lobulate with long strap-shaped (but irregularly constricted) lobules, below whitish to yellowish-buff and weakly corticate, pointed simple pale to gray rhizines abundant esp near margin looking like cilia; MEDULLA white, K+ weak yellow.
