HABITAT open ridge-top with laurel scrub, oak-spruce-fir forest; SUBSTRATE siliceous rock; ASPECT open; NOTES on Imshaugia aleurites on exposed siliceous rock on top of narrow ridge; THALLUS very similar to Imshaugia except black below and with lots of black cilia sometimes branched, isidia never branched, K+ yellow; MEDULLA white, K-, C-, KC+ weakly fleeting pink.
