… and yes, my notes confirm that it’s just the medulla that’s C+, not the cortex. That was my second guess. Honestly. Fine, don’t believe me…

I started with cortex as usual: that produced some kind of K+ that looked like greenish; adding C to that hinted of very pale, barely discernable yellow, and plain C test was C-.
On medula, K-, but KC+ red and C+ red.
Perhaps, test with PD is in order?

Time for spot tests! This looks like it could be P. trachythallina… I’m rooting for an intense K+y. But you never know…
