Observation 116868: Russula graveolens Romell
When: 2012-11-06
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: These were growing in a Sitka spruce areA.
Gills and spores were yellowish.
Taste was mild.
Spores were weakly amyloid, probably due to a lack of heavy ornamentation.
Spores were ~ 8.0-9.0 X 7.0-8.1 microns, with rather long spiny warts but not noticeably reticulated.
Spores seem to rule out R. turci and it’s close relative?
