Notes: Found growing from moss and dirt in a christmas tree farm. There seems to be a variety of spieces growing together here.

Yes, you’re right. This place is apparently the bomb for Cladonia.

You’ve got some good photos of Cladonia peziziformis here (image 283252, image 283251, image 283253). Really shows the small round shell-like squamules and split, verrucose (but not sorediate) podetia well.

Red apothecia are probably C. cristatella (just playing the odds), the cups are probably C. chlorophaea group (bottom photo especially) but getting to species requires TLC. Also, there are some large squamules in the right-hand half of image 283251, like maybe C. polycarpoides (now lumped into C. subcariosa I think) — K test would confirm (or rule out).
