THALLUS: pale gray to white, minutely wrinkled, v rimose, black prothallus, v thin, K+ weak yellow slowly turning red, C-, KC-
MEDULLA: white
ALGAE: green
APOTHECIA: lecideine, black, to 1 mm, convex, thin prominant smooth black rim, rough-shiny, colorless to yellowish (in K at least) narrow (60 µm) hymenium, dark brown hypothecium, dark brown epihymenium
SPORES: 8 per ascus, brown, ellip, 2 cells, thin even walls and septum, smooth, 13-14 × 6-7 µm
