Observation 11754: Cortinarius (Pers.) Gray

When: 2008-09-29

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

This line of cortinarii grew close to a single specimen of a different species (obs. 11753). They have purple stem interiors — as in really purple — and generally have some parts more violet than in C. alboviolaceus.

These were found in damp mixed woods.
