Notes: Found under and closely associated with roots of Quercus palustris, which is used at the hospital for a perimeter planting. Most sporocarps associated with younger 15-year-old trees.


Cap is dark brown with yellow highlights and white edge of cap.
Base of stipe showing some chocolated staining on a white striate base. Grass leaves adherring to stipe.
Older stipe with brown striations; younger stipes with white striations.
Striking photos of gills with brief sunlight background.
