Observation 11765: Chalciporus piperatoides (Smith & Thiers) Baroni & Both
When: 2008-10-01
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Fd. at Portland Adventist Hospital in SE Portland. These specimens were the remains of a much larger fruiting, which dared stand up to a lawnmower. It’s pretty obvious which side won. However, the mangled remains clearly show the red staining this species should have, even though the pores are not present.

This sounds like an unusual habitat and the photos don’t clearly show any of the special features of C. piperatoides.
