These mushrooms were found by members of Wisconsin Mycological Society

during our fall foray to Mauthe Lake Recreation Area (thank you kindly for allowing me to photograph them). No one in our group knew which species it is. It looks just like Hypomyces lactifluorum, except for the color. There were near a dozen specimen, so one can exclude “the weirdo” theory – obviously that’s the way these muchrooms are.
