Who: Richard Daniel (RichardDaniel)

Specimen available

Under fir trees (Abies alba) in a park. Weak smell, spermatic I thought. Cap up to 6cm diameter, quite fibrillose/rimose. Stipe pruinose near apex only, I thought. Young specimens had a white cortina. The stem had a sort of pinkish tinge, or perhaps it was brownish. It had metuloid cystidia approx. 52µ x 16µ, and spores pointed at one end, about 10µ x 5µ.

Please can you tell me which species it is, or what I would have needed to do to determine this? I still have dried specimens at home. I thought it might be I. nitidiuscula or I. pseudodestricta.
