Observation 118686: Armillaria (Fr.) Staude

No herbarium specimen

Notes: -found a few specimens growing together in the soil around a small tree,

-pileus was dry/dull and pileus was slightly depressed, measured 129mm in diameter, smooth surface, with striated margin, pileus color was light brown with dark brown spots, specimen appeared to be older in age

-adnate even gills, cream/tan in color with brown spots (61 mm in length) lamellulae present (~2mm spacing half way to margin)

-annulus present, possibly double edged

-dull stipe, fibrillose surface, solid, 81mm in length, 12mm in width, inserted institious base

- I believe there was no volva

-white spore print, spore shape was an a broad elliptical shape filled with contents

- spore measurements (length/width) (in micrometers) I tried to include the one of the largest and smallest spores I could find along with the majority of the same sized spores that I found. Measured with an 100x oil immersion objective.
