Spores are mostly elliptical but also subfusiform and occasionally sub cylindrical, 7-9 × 3.5-4.5, Av. 8.3 × 4. Cystidia were common in most areas and could often be located by looking for brown masses of material that obscured the base or more of the cystida when viewed in KOH, 25-37 × 5-10 and occasionally to 50, ventricose and fusiform ventricose usually with extended apices and occasionally cylindrical, brown or partially brown or with no brown in KOH, gray etc. in Melzers. No caulocystidia or clamps observed.
