Observation 118905: Mycena filopes (Bull.) P. Kumm.

Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: Growing from a small branch on the ground. No odor when picked, but in a few hours develops very strong chemical (iodoform?) odor. Gills become pinkish as the mushrooms dry out.

Spores 7.5-8.5 × 4-5 microns. Cheilocystidia short-stemmed or sessile, ~25×15 microns, forming a band on gill edge. Basidia 4-spored, ~20 microns.
